Sant Nivrittinath says, 'Lord Hari is the only all-pervading Tattva as it has been stated in the scriptures. Therefore, one who regularly repeats Lord Hari's holy name has no fear of death. And how easy it is to do jap of the Lord's name that scares off death and even Yama, its presiding deity. Do Jap of the Lord's name. It will liberate you from the cycle of birth and death, bringing an end to all bondages forever. '
Sant Jnaneshwar says, 'When Lord Prajapati has to initiate creation, he simply repeats the Lord's name. That alone endows him with the requisite power and ability to succeed in this divine endeavour.'
In the beginning, Lord Brahma was not aware of the Supreme Being from Whom he had emanated and embarked on the task of creation all by himself. When he failed, he resorted to doing Jap of the Lord's name and thereby attained success.
It is indeed a rare one who attains Vaikuntha Loka. But the great lovers of the Lord's name transform any place they go to into Vaikuntha Loka. Thus with the power of Jap of the Lord's holy name, they transform the whole world into a holy place. The Lord's name that normally is attained by serving the Lord for thousands of births, naturally reverberates on the lips of the devotees of the Lord. They are so satiated with Jap of the Lord's name that time and place lose all significance for them and they willingly remain engrossed in the bliss emanating from Jap of the Lord's name.
The place where God's name is chanted and God's unflagging devotees are present, has the potential to destroy our sins accumulated over countless births. We perform tapasya for countless births to attain God-realization, but by attending satsang and participating in kirtan, we can attain God much more easily and in much less time.
